Is it OK to alter my credit score to rent a house?

My roommates and I are looking for a house to rent. We have lived together for two years but want to move now. We looked at a very nice place yesterday but we were told that our credit scores are not good enough to rent it out. The realtor offered to manually change out credit scores in order to rent the house out. I feel like this a going to get me into some trouble in the long run… Is this going to come back to bite me?

What is the least expensive way to get a non paying renter out of our rent house ?

We have not been able to contact her at all — the cell phone she had no longer holds messages. She lost her job shortly after she moved in. Her car was repossed. We mailed a certified letter to give notice to move - but it was not picked up — we left a note on her door — she apparently has not been back to the house at all in over 2 weeks. She was short last month’s rent and we have not been able to contact her at any of the numbers she put on the application. Texas is the state.

How much would it cost to rent a house/flat?

I live in the UK a bit south of London, i have just turned 16 and I really want to start thinking about leaving home. How much would it cost roughly to rent a house? Either here or in Ireland. House, flat, whatever, I just really want to leave. I know it should be common knowledge but i am not very good on values of things. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What is the best thing to do, if you’re staying in this country for about 3yrs only -buy a house or rent?

Me and my husband have a dilema.We currently live in the UK, but in about 3 years we’d like to go to South Africa…Now we don’t know,if we should rent a house and try to save money and from money saved to pay a deposit on a house in SA (with savings of £300p/m each we should have £10.800 at the end of 3yrs) or if we should buy a property here, pay mortgage and in 3 years sell it.

Would we make a profit?The property we would want would be in Birmingham for about £120.000, monthly repayments around £800 + bills…
Property we would rent would be in the region of £550 per month.

What would be a better option? What would get us off the ground?

How old do you have to be to rent a house in New Hampshire?

Me and my friends were planning on renting a house in new hampshire this winter for a weekend to go snowboarding for a few days. The age range is 19-24 about 10 - 14 of us going. We found a nice house but the owner said you have to be 25 to rent a house? is this true? any way around this?

Is it better to rent an apartment or a house?

I am not in the position to buy a house or townhome just yet, so I still have to rent. I was thinking perhaps it may be a better idea to rent a HOUSE instead of an apartment in an apartment complex, etc., because at least in a house, its “stand alone” and I wont have to worry about neighbors stomping on my head, hearing their noise or being subjected to their bad habits that may disturb other tenants.

Am I right? Or are there disadvantages to renting a house as opposed to renting an apartment, that I am not aware of?
i cant exactly buy just now bcz of credit - my credit isnt good.

How could we college students rent a house?

ok if me and a couple of friends in college wanted to rent a house and split the costs, could that work? i only have a little credit and they don’t have any, would anyone even rent to us? and how could we protect ourselves if one person stopped paying their share?
