We had some electrical work redone, and there were a lot of holes that were made in the dry wall ceilings and walls. The spackling is done, but I know the sanding is coming in a day or two. Any suggestions on dust control and removal. The areas that will be done are in the bedrooms, hallways and kitchen.
we don’t have central air/heat. We have the oil heat type furnace. Heat is distributed through baseboard heaters.

My dad is converting the attached garage in his house into a den and washroom. He is framing the rooms off.
I noticed him putting up some drywall, but he feels that its not important to vapor-barrier the internal walls. He is going to insultate them.

I believe that since these internal walls aren’t really internal, garage isn’t insulated as well as the rest of the house, that these walls should have vapor barrier as well as insulation.

Could someone let me know whether is is best to include the vapour barrier, or if it is not needed?

I had a patio cover installed about three months ago. To make a long story short. It has leaked everytime it rains and the company has been out three times to repair it already. It took them a week to two weeks to come out and repair it in between each event. Well, it rained and it is still leaking. It leaks so bad my enclosed room gets completely flooded and it leaks on every seam. It seems to get worse each time they try to repair it. The cover is insulated and cost a little under $5000. I want it replaced with a new cover. The installation was obviously bad. In the event it cannot be fixed I plan on taking them to small claims court but am not sure what needs to be done. I am sending them a certfied letter on Tuesday explaining I will take legal action. Before this, I sent them an email (third time it leaked) and saved a copy. I have photos and video and kept a log of when I called, who I spoke to, etc. Any advice appreciated
