it really depends on the size, location and other factors. you also have to pay for your utilities, and they can get really, really expensive. your best bet is to start looking around craigslist.org for some apartments you might be interested in. good luck!

Im single and these are currently my bills = average (remember this is mine and can be different to yours/area):
Mortgage: £400
Water - £30.35
Council Tax - £70 (I get 25% discount living alone)
Gas and Electric - £60
Phone and Broadband - £15.50
TV Licence - £12
Food - £100
